Just Say It :: What We All Need to Hear

Just Say it

I am thankful for all the friends in my life who Just Say It.

Gal, love your blog.  Gal, love your cooking.  You are an awesome mom.  Thanks for being my friend.  I need you to walk through life with me.  Praying for you.  Love you.  I miss you.  Are you doing ok?

I want to encourage you today reader to just say it. If you think of an encouragement to share with a friend:  say it, call the person or write them.  Don’t be afraid.

Even if you don’t know them very well, and the Lord puts them on your heart, don’t be afraid to reach out and encourage.  I believe the Holy Spirit puts people on our hearts so that we can be used to encourage them.  Haven’t you received a note or phone call at just the right time?  Can you remember a time when you felt down or a little sad-sad and then someone calls or writes and you receive encouragement that is sweet.  Healing.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Proverbs 16:2

So the next time a friend flits across your mind and you think, Maybe I should call them

Just Say it,

write it,

text it.

You won’t be sorry you took the time, and you will be a blessing to someone who needs to hear what you have to say.  A SURSEE for you and them.   Who are you going to go call right now?

  1. Love this! I do this all the time and don’t call because they are probably busy. That’s what voicemail is for, right? I am not going to call anyone RIGHT now as it’s late but I have a friend from college I will reach out to tomorrow. Thanks Leslie!

  2. such good advice. we were in austin last week and i called a gal who was in my wedding but we haven’t been in touch for almost 6 years. i still think about her and although i knew we would not have a lot of time to properly catch up, i just wanted to make that connection and let her know that she was important to me. will continue to act when God puts these people on my heart. 🙂

    • Love this, gal. I think that is the key- make those connections as you can, when you can as God leads. You are awesome!
