A Galentine Celebration Meal Plan
Hey gal!
It is time for *Galentine’s Day- which is February 13th! Time to celebrate with your gal pals. Let’s celebrate friendship and those gals who stick with you. The ones in your lifeboat. The ones who get you and still love you. We can do this gals, even in the midst of a pandemic! Invite one friend over and celebrate like Leslie Knope says it, Ladies celebrating Ladies.
Here is a simple menu for a lunch get together or you can have a brunch of waffles and love.
Soup Starter
A simple Cauliflower soup! Really easy, I promise.
Instant Pot Butternut Squash Soup
Either one is a winner. Makes a bunch, so freeze some for your later self or gift a neighbor! xoxo
Salad from Ina
This salad is full of all the good things and plus it looks gorgeous on the plate.
Chicken Salad
My Chicken salad is so good, can I say that? Here is the recipe for you and your gal pals will lovey.
Special Drink
I think it is fun to serve a special drink for a Gal’s lunch… Maybe some Prosecco? Trader Joe’s has a fantastic Bellini in a Bottle that is fun to serve in a flute. Or try a mixture of Sparkling water and San Pelligrino Soda in a pretty crystal glass.
Special Dessert
Why not try my gluten-free Chocolate Sursee Bites? Sure to please.
If you are running out of time try the chocolate chunks and clementine trick- so french…
Setting your Table
Set your table with girlie things. I used flowers and jeweled bracelets and teacups filled with flowers. This theme can also be used for the table decorations for a Bridal Shower.
Use your placemats and your china for this party, you and your friends are worth it. I made this meal plan at Christmas when I gathered with my three besties from days of yore! This photo has a different soup…but the same pear salad and chicken salad.
Enjoy your Galentine’s Celebration. I would love to hear if you have one, and oh, send some pics!
xoxo
*Invented by the character Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation. Season 2 Episode 16
“The holiday that Knope invented bares striking similarities to her character — over-the-top generosity and impassioned sincerity. Galentine’s Day is to Valentine’s Day what Friendsgiving is to Thanksgiving: a chance to recognize the impact that our friends have on our lives and thank them for their steadfast loyalty, love, and laughter.” (from an article in National Today)
