Monday

Homemade Tomato Sauce and Pasta

Green Salad- I usually serve a green salad at supper because most kids enjoy this- let them drown it in Ranch Dressing, they will eventually grow out of this!

Toast some sour dough bread Slather the bread in butter and garlic salt, toast in the oven and use to sop up all the extra goodness of this sauce. Buy a loaf of sourdough bread as you will be using in several meals this week.

Tuesday

Greek Chicken Take some time in the morning to marinate your chicken You can use boneless thighs or boneless breast. You can grill outside, inside on a grill pan or bake in the oven. Chef's choice.

Lemon Orzo and Rice is a wonderful side dish for this chicken. She shows you how to make in a rice cooker which saves time, but I make mine on the stove and it's easy. I love the combo of orzo and rice and the lemony zesty flavor makes this a winner.

Creamy Cucumber Tomato and Onion  Salad Fresh. Easy. Use up those veggies in a new way!

Wednesday

Pot Roast with potatoes and carrots in an Instant Pot. You can also make a pot roast in a Dutch oven either on the stove top or finish in the oven. Again, Chef's choice.

Green salad- Again, salads help your people have some fresh veggies if potatoes and carrots are something you are still introducing. A dietician friend of mine once told me you have to introduce a food to your kids like a kajillion times. Ok, it was probably 25-30, but you get the point. Keep introducing, not making a big deal of it. They will be eating all kinds of veggies at 25, I promise.

Thursday

Grilled Cheese- Fontina cheese on Sourdough bread- I added some arugula to mine. Use a new cheese- I love the creamy, mild Fontina and go for the sour dough bread. It makes a sandwich a meal!

A Simple Gazpacho Serve in pretty little juice glasses, maybe even use a straw for the kids. Introduce and sit back and see if they like. I know you will like it!

Friday

Juicy Pork Chops I wrote about these pork chops and they are so great. Try them this week. You can use bone in or boneless chops.

Blue cheese wedge salad- Try making this easy Blue cheese dressing or buy in a bottle. The wedge makes it a little more fun on the plate. Or just chop up the iceberg lettuce and go.

BP in the InstaPot. SO easy to make Baked Potatoes in the InstaPot. Try tonite. Or bake in the oven.

Saturday- LEFT OVER MAGIC

Use your Left overs from your suppers this week to make some new magic!

Leftovers with Greek Chicken

*Wraps- Wrap up the chicken with veggies in a tortilla or pita bread for a handy meal.

*Slice the chicken and top a salad. Add chunks of feta cheese, sliced cucumbers, tiny cherry tomatoes, and red onion and dress with oil and vinegar.

*Make a Sandwich with your leftover chicken and the sourdough bread

Leftovers with Pot Roast

*Pot Roast Tacos-add blue cheese as a topping

Leftovers with Tomato Sauce

*Make a Pizza Roll use sauce as dipping

*Make individual pizzas with frozen bread dough, add toppings you like

Hope this Meal Plan for the Week helps you find some extra time to sit and BE!

xoxo
